And tonight I have a very special "Want Me Wednesday" pug to introduce you to! Her name is Precious and she was rescued today from the Rutherford county shelter.
Poor sweet precious is blind and seriously overweight at 29lbs. A healthy weight for a pug ranges from 15-20lbs. Canine obesity is becoming more and more widespread and is a serious problem which can rob you of years with you dog. I know it's hard sometime, but Fido just doesn't always need that extra treat! Precious will be in foster care for some time to deal with her weight problem, but if you are interested in becoming her forever family you can go ahead and get your application on file with SEPRA. Be sure to visit their currently available pugs as well, you just might fall in love!!
